Forge is a jujube-red outcome within the Patina glaze family, formed through traditional wood firing in a 60-meter Skyward Dragon Kiln at approximately 1350 °C. The exceptionally high-iron clay and naturally iron-saturated mineral glaze undergo iron migration and surface crystallization under prolonged flame travel and alternating oxidation and reduction conditions.
This piece presents concentrated crystalline formation, with localized butterfly-like morphology at the microscopic level. The crystallization remains clustered, shaped by kiln position, heat accumulation, and thermal variation throughout the firing process.
Handmade in Shuiji Town, Jianyang, Fujian, using exceptionally high iron-content local clay and naturally iron-saturated mineral glaze. Individually numbered.
