Purple Gold Yohen represents one of the most demanding achievements in Jian Zhan firing. Across its surface, iridescent crystalline spheres shimmer through layers of violet, gold, and indigo—each suspended as if within a cosmic field of light.
The glaze transitions gracefully from a soft golden rim into radiant violet and blue, revealing a rare harmony of color and crystalline clarity. Such a surface can only be achieved through precise control of firing atmosphere and temperature, where mastery and chance converge for a fleeting moment.
While many attempt to recreate the Yohen effect, pieces of this clarity and depth remain exceedingly rare. Each vessel stands as a singular record of fire—an unrepeatable convergence of flame, iron, and time.
Handmade in Shuiji Town, Jianyang, Fujian, with local iron-rich clay and naturally iron-bearing mineral glaze.
