Starveil is the exclusive glaze of The Phoenix Kiln—unseen elsewhere, unrepeatable beyond this fire. What it reveals is not ornament but phenomenon: a dense veil of silver-blue crystalline blooms suspended over indigo ground, each like a solitary star unfolding into its own constellation.
In daylight, the cup holds the depth of a nocturnal sea, layered in shifting blues and teals. Under focused light, it awakens into brilliance: a radiant galaxy contained within a vessel. This rare crystallization is the fruit of precision balanced with surrender, a dialogue between mastery and the chance workings of fire.
Balanced in proportion and gravity, Starveil does not seek display. It rewards stillness, inviting the hand and the gaze into an encounter where vessel becomes cosmos, and cosmos rests within a single cup.
Handmade in Shuiji Town, Jianyang, Fujian, with local iron-rich clay and naturally iron-bearing mineral glaze.
