This cup presents a continuous gold crystallization field achieved entirely through unmodified ore-based glaze. No metallic additives or colorants are involved; its brilliance is the natural result of mineral crystallization at a narrow, high-risk firing threshold. Under shifting light, the gold structure reveals multiple layers of optical depth, with defined nuclei and radiant filaments forming a complete, uninterrupted field.
Such full-gold saturation is extremely difficult to obtain through true ore and true glaze alone. The structural clarity and stability of its crystallization mark this piece as a rare example within contemporary Yohen work—one distinguished by purity of material and precision of firing rather than post-firing enhancement.
